The redevelopment of the playground includes the refurbishment of the iconic rocket slide.
Completed zones include a toddler space, rope play area, Hobbit Cave and sand play area.
Mayor, Cr Don Firth said the Adventure Park will be an asset for years to come.
"The rocket park has been a much loved icon of the Rural City. I am excited to see the new Adventure Park site nearing completion," said Cr Firth.
"I would like to thank all the community groups who have made in-kind contributions and the many local contractors who have worked through the Christmas and New Year period to bring the project to its final stages," said Cr Firth.
Funding for the Adventure Park has been from:
State Government - Regional Growth Fund $300,000
State Government - Community Facility Fund $100,000
Benalla Rural City Council $165,000
The Friends of Benalla Botanical Gardens and Riverine Parkland $10,000
Tomorrow Today Foundation $15,000
In-Kind contributions* $20,000
*In-Kind contributions are from Hands on Learning, Rotary Club of Benalla, Benalla Lions Club, The Friends of Benalla Botanical Gardens and Riverine Parkland and GOTAFE.
Zones within the Adventure Park will be opened in stages over the coming weeks.
