Creating Community Connections Expo

The Benalla community is invited to come together for a day of celebration, connection, and vibrant fun at the Creating Community Connections Expo.

Lakeside Community Centre, Benalla

 

The Creating Community Connections Expo will offer an opportunity for local groups, sporting clubs, volunteer organisations, and community services to showcase their activities and connect with the community.

This free event aims to foster inclusion and participation while promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. Visitors can enjoy:

• Free food and drinks provided by local businesses.
• Yoga classes for all ages and abilities.
• Interactive stalls showcasing local groups, clubs, and organisations.
• Children’s amusements, including a jumping castle, face painting, and engaging activities.
• Live performances from local musicians, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere.

As the sun sets, the Holi – Festival of Colours, presented by the North East Multicultural Association (NEMA), will commence at 6pm, bringing a burst of colour and joy to the evening. This vibrant celebration will feature a colour run to uplifting music, and energetic dance performances.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to experience the spirit of Holi, celebrating diversity and community connection. While the event is free to attend, donations will be encouraged and greatly appreciated to support ongoing community initiatives hosted by NEMA.
