Maximum Number of Pets

In Benalla Rural City, there is a maximum number of animals that you can keep on your property.

In rural areas, there may be some exceptions to these maximum number of pets. For example, you can have up to five dogs and three cats.

If you need to exceed the number of any of the types of animals described in the below table, contact the Council to obtain a permit or to ask for more information.
