Jobs available through Working for Victoria program

Benalla Rural City Council is looking to fill several roles currently advertised through the Victorian government’s Working for Victoria program.

Mayor Cr Danny Claridge said the Council was grateful for the opportunity to offer these roles to the community.

“This program supports our capacity to deliver our plans for Benalla Rural City despite the unprecedented events of 2020.

“These six-month positions provide us the opportunity to support those in our community whose employment has been impacted by COVID-19,” said Cr Claridge.

The roles are for a fixed term of six months. The Working for Victoria program is funded by the Victorian Government. Benalla Rural City Council has been allocated funding for up to 21 full-time roles.

The Council has already employed people through the program, including an Access and Inclusion Officer, a Quality Officer Community Support Worker, Economic Development Officers, a Communications Project Officer and an Open Space and CBD Plan Officer.

“We know there are many people in our Rural City who have the skills to contribute to the Council’s workforce. We encourage anyone who is interested to view the positions available and register with the Working for Victoria program,” said Cr Claridge.
