The HiVE is live in the Rural City

Council is delighted to announce a new community engagement platform will be launched on our website from Thursday 16 December 2021.

This new engagement tool will empower residents to participate in shaping projects and provide Council staff with improved ways to identify issues, gather local knowledge, explore new ideas and create solutions.

The online tool will complement Council’s current community engagement activities, including face to face consultation, community meetings as well as continued communication through the local newspaper, direct mail, and via social media channels.

Benalla Rural City Council Mayor, Bernie Hearn said “Council is thrilled to have a new community engagement tool such as The HiVE at our fingertips and encourages locals to visit Council’s website and use the new, user-friendly stakeholder platform to have their input into Council projects.

“We look forward to working closely with our community in the days, weeks, months and years ahead to build a vibrant, sustainable rural city for future generations to enjoy,” Councillor Hearn added.
