Benalla Cinema tickets can be booked through app

The Benalla Cinema at BPACC is one of the first in Australia to allow patrons to book tickets through a new app called Choovie.

The app connects with the Benalla Cinema ticketing system which means patrons book and pay for their tickets through the app, then simply have their phone scanned at the cinema door.

"This is very new technology and a way to provide convenience to our patrons," Mayor Cr Don Firth said.

"Cinema patrons have been asking to be able to buy cinema tickets online. We have listened to that request and are pleased to be able to provide a solution that will make purchasing easier for patrons and is at no-cost to the Council."

All Benalla Cinema tickets purchased through Choovie are currently $11, rather than the standard pricing.

Choovie is available to download for free in the Apple App Store and Google Play
