Council celebrates IDAHOBIT 2019

The Council raised the rainbow flag on Friday 17 May to celebrate IDAHOBIT, International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia.
Mayor, Cr Scott Upston, said that the Council is proud to support the LGBTIQ+ community.
“The community coming together to celebrate IDAHOBIT is a great demonstration that Benalla is a welcoming, diverse and safe place for everyone,” said Cr Upston.
“The Council actively support community members, Council staff, volunteers, suppliers and stakeholders who identify as being part of the LGBTIQ+ community.”
