Gardens illuminated for safety

Pathways linking the Bridge Street Art Gallery entrance to Wedge Street in the Benalla Botanical Gardens are once again lit up, with the installation of 12 LED lights.

The new lights have replaced old infrastructure that was previously damaged by vandalism.

The LED light works were funded by the State Government and are included in the Lighting the Lake project that will see more lighting installed around Benalla iconic lake walk.

These grants are part of the State Government’s Building Safer Communities program, which aims to support Victorian communities to address the causes of crime and enhance community safety.
