Happy Wanderer donates $1,500 to Live4Life Benalla

Live4Life Benalla has received a donation of $1,500 from the Happy Wanderer Festival.
The Live4Life Program is a mental health promotion initiative targeting young people in Benalla Rural City. Since 2017, the program has trained more than 360 students and 90 adults in Mental Health First Aid.
The Council delivers the Live4Life Benalla initiative with support from the Benalla Live4Life Partnership Group including Benalla Health, FCJ College, Benalla P-12 College, NE Tracks Local Learning and Employment Network, Tomorrow Today, Victoria Police, Benalla Flexible Learning Centre, NESAY, Central Hume Primary Care Partnership, North East Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, The Benalla Community Suicide Prevention Steering Group and Youth Live4Life Inc.
Mayor, Cr Scott Upston acknowledged the benefit that will come from the Happy Wanderer Festival donation.
“We are extremely grateful to the Happy Wanderer Festival for the support,” Cr Upston said.
“The funds will assist us to continue to raise awareness about mental health and mental health first aid in Benalla Rural City.”
Mark Foletta, Director of the Happy Wanderer Festival, said the Live4Life program is important to improving mental health outcomes for young people in Benalla Rural City.
“It is important to talk about mental health and this program provides a safe environment for young people to recognise the early signs and to get information on how to seek help,” Mr Foletta said.
